FAST WEIGHT LOSS!


Hi guys! In my first post I am going to write about how to lose weight fast.

We all want to lose weight fast, right? We want a fast and pain free way to get to our ideal weight. And is soul crashing when you try and try to get to lose weight and you can´t seem to get there. I know. I think we all have been there.  

The truth of the matter is that, the only way to lose weight, is burning more calories than the ones you take in. So that means eating less or working out more. And/or do things to increase your metabolism. That is it, plain and simple.

So, here are a few things that can help you eat less, work out more and/or increase your metabolism:

THINGS THAT CAN HELP YOU TO EAT LESS:

-          Drink lots of water: sometimes when you have the feeling of hunger, it could be thirst instead of hunger so make sure to have your 8 glasses of water a day or more.
-          Fill in with fiber: Fiber is not only great for your health, it can also make you fill fuller than any other food. Food filled with fiber includes: whole fruits, whole grain products, oatmeal, lentils and legumes in general.

-          Rooibos tea: rooibos tea is a natural appetite suppressant. Instead of snacking in between meals, you can drink a rooibos tea instead (you will feel fuller and it has 0 calories)
-          Be busy: it has happen to me that when I am very busy at work I forget all about snacking in the afternoon. So try to be the busiest at work (and in this way you not only forget about snacking and lose weight faster, you will also might get a raise J)
-          Make sure you have fruits or vegetables at hand when you get hungry in between meals so if you are going to eat, at least eat something that has very low calories.

-          If you are having trouble finding the time to go to the gym or you don´t want to spend your money on one (as in my case, where the ones that are near my house are too expensive and I don´t feel like expending my money on a gym) you can workout at home: the Good House Keeping website has a great set of workout routines that you can do at home (http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/health/fitness/fitness-workouts-tone-slim) or check youtube where people constantly post exercise videos that you can do at home.
-          Do an activity outside the house that you enjoy like, taking out the dog for a walk, or hiking if you live near the mountains (if you enjoy outdoors activities at all)
-          Clean the house: cleaning the house is one of the greatest workouts there is. Some experts say that you can burn up to 400 calories cleaning the house. (AND you get the plus of having your house clean)

THINGS THAT CAN HELP YOU INCREASE YOUR METABOLISM:

-          Eating 6 small meals a day. Experts say this helps increase your metabolism because you are constantly giving your body something to do (process the food that you are constantly eating). Make sure they are SMALL portions though!
